Revision History

Silent research engines need memory of themselves. This log records all methodology changes, question modifications, and interpretation updates to prevent silent manipulation and allow future researchers to contextualize historical data.

Why This Exists

• Prevents silent manipulation of methods or conclusions

• Allows future researchers to contextualize old data correctly

• Signals integrity through transparent evolution

• Documents how the system learns and adapts over time

January 2025Initial Launch

What Changed

Initial methodology established. Core survey questions finalized. Data collection framework deployed.

Why It Changed

First version. No prior baseline existed.

What It Affects

All data from January 2025 onward follows this methodology. No historical comparison possible yet.

Why It Changed

[Justification]

What It Affects

[Impact on historical data and future comparisons]

Temporal Consistency Rule

Core questions are frozen for minimum 6–12 months.

Any change to survey questions, methodology, or interpretation frameworks must be:

  • Documented in this changelog
  • Justified with clear reasoning
  • Back-mapped to historical data when possible
  • Announced before implementation

Why: Protects longitudinal validity and prevents "question drift" that invalidates trend analysis. This is a research-grade requirement.

Data Silence Policy

If data quality falls below threshold, no insight is published that week.

• Prevents pressure publishing when data is insufficient

• Preserves credibility over consistency

• Signals seriousness about research standards

• Silence is allowed as a legitimate output
